About the artist

Daniel McRorie is an artisan originally from the Canadian prairies now living in Brooklyn. He is a shoemaker and cobbler and brings his respect for craftsmanship into his artwork that takes many forms. Often inspired by the natural world, Daniel finds ways to reflect on these things, usually in meticulous ways, attempting to emulate its complicated simplicity.
