About the artist

Nancy Stella Soto lives and works in Los Angeles, California, where her recently-launched mini collection is exclusively produced. After completing Central Saint Martins’ graduate program in womenswear, she was nomadic, traveling throughout, encountering both the sublime and abject as quotidian experience. This approach to life and design has become a physical extension of her practice, which is rooted in the rituals of gleaning and collecting. In the discovery of exhausted objects, Nancy excavates beauty, craftsmanship and history in the abandoned: that which would otherwise fall mute, unseen and unspoken.
