About the artist
Trained as a graphic designer with a rich living and working history in music video, art direction, commercials and motherhood, Paula Greif took to ceramic recently but with a natural hand. Inspired by the work of 20th century studio potters, masters such as Lucie Rie, Beatrice Wood and Rosanjin-Kitaoji as well as vernacular folk pottery from Mexico and early America. Paula’s ceramics are one of a kind and hand made in her studio in Red Hook, Brooklyn. In the summer, Paula is a potter-in-residence at Old Field Farm, Cornwallville, New York.
